Little...the shed is definately longer than she is but I still didn't expect a 10' shed. She was pushing 8' last year when I measured her with yarn....time to do it again I think. Rabbits are working. She is lean and long.

nice! Have you raised her from a hatchling? What kind of feeding regimen was she on?(big frequent meals?)

No she is a rescue. Had her about 3 yrs now I think. He previous owner had her in a 2x2x2 at about 7'. He wondered whybshe struck at him alm the time. I had her 3 days before my then 10yr old son staryed handling her. It was magic. She is fantastic. Very easy to get along with. I bred her 2 seasons ago but only hatched 2 good eggs and she had a bunch of slugs last year. This year she gets a new man (my jag) so we will see if the problem is her or him. Regardless she is a great snake so I don't care if she produces or not....she stay with us forever. If she slugs out this year I will retire her for good.

She gets a varied diet. Jumbo rat or 3lb bunny. 2weeks between rats and 3-4between bunnies.

Oh right I remember you tellling me about her previous owner. Well now she gets an enclosure 4x that size lol. I've never seen an 8 foot carpet python in person. Would you say at that point a cp gets hard to handle by yourself?

Dan i have a question did your girl get more aggressive when you started feeding rabbits? My big girl as gotten super digressive ever since she had her first rabbit. She even taking a couple shots at me. Which she has never done before.

No mine is fine, easy to handle. I will get her out for some playtime either tomorrow or Friday.
In the meantime.

She's gorgeous, still can't believe she was being house in a 2 foot cube at 7 feet. Glad you rescued her.
