I am looking for a large water dish for my RTB. I want something that she can at least partially soak in when she is full grown. I am sure it will have to be a plastic tub of some sort but I want to be able to make it look good in the enclosure. Either like a rock or a branch. Any ideas.

Why not something like a bird bath a plastic one that looks like stone. Actual stone one would be to heavy.

Or maybe something like this. It the bottom of a flower pot. You can get them at any hardware store.

Get your tub and then use watersafe grout or epoxynor something tomake it look like a stone basin? It will still be squarish, but wwon't look like plastic....

Or get a dog water bowl, those work quite well

Petco has some pretty nice looking dog bowls in three sizes and colors made out of bamboo that are really nice and not super expensive, although I'm not sure if the large one would be as large as you are wanting. They don't look totally naturalistic but aren't jarringly utilitarian like some bowls.

I use something like 40 of them...cost me 40 bucks!

If your relatively good with your hands you could make a stone like outer housing out of wire mesh and foam around like a 28 qt tub so you can just pull the tub out for cleaning.

I'll think about that. I am probably just going to use a planter base or something like that for now and then make that in my spare time. Thanks for the idea.

No problem, I made one a few years back for my mangrove monitor cage, i can't seem to find any pics. Since then I've switched to very basic newspaper water bowl and hides type setups as I keep mostly snakes.

I use small dollar store food containers for small snakes, and kitty litter boxes for larger animals.
