why do people on their sigatures have like "0.1 gecko 1.1 Boa" what do these numbers mean?

It means the reptile's sex and how many the person owns.

Like
1.0 is one male.
0.1 is one female.
0.0.1 is one unsexed.
1.2.3 is one male, two females, and three unsexed.
And so on. There's a sticky thread at the top of 'general discussion' called 'herp lingo' that goes into further detail :D

I've noticed that its almost never used with snakes but is fairly often used with geckos, a forth number refers to fertile eggs a person has.
