Look. 16 months since they hatched out.
Yellowing up and eating her first small rat.
Mom and dad each took a jumbo.

Same here. Some cultures actually eat roasted rats. I wouldn't mind trying it

I feed rats from the egg. Not a first rat but first small up from pups.
Thanks all. I will try to post some better pics but she takes off if I am not holding her so it is a two person job.

Just taking a guess but from the picture she looks to be 3 feet.

Yup ,about 31-32". Carpets tend to take off at about the 18month mark and grow a ton from 18 months to 3yrs. Then they build girth. I am sure this timeframe varies from one carpet species to another but the pattern is the same. Some of this is due to prey. Once they hit small rats they take right off.
