A picture of the two new additions to our house.

The BP on the right is a rescue we picked up yesterday morning from a guy who fortunately realized he could not provide adequate care for it. He only had it a month. He had it in a 10 gallon glass tank with a screen top, shaving for substrate, and a 100 watt red night bulb. The little guy was obviously dehydrated when the guy handed him to me and not very active.

We brought him home and kicked in operation "High Humidity". Within 4 hours we could see him perk up. We started 30 minute lukewarm baths today. He already feels better to the touch and is investigating his surroundings. He has a rough patch on his head. Hoping that clears up with hydration as well. Other than that he seems like a good snake.

The one on the left was picked up today as a result of a barter. It is coincidentally the same size as the other.

Being new to BP's, I assume these are both "normal's" even with the slight difference in color. Any thoughts?

Glad to see you are quarantining them as far apart from each other aas you can

I hope at least they are no where near your existing reptiles?

Thanks for your concern. These were only momentarily brought together for the photo for comparison. As you may notice two different hands are holding each one. They are indeed in separate rooms than each other as well as my other snakes. The only snakes housed together are my kids juvenile corns, who were litter mates and together when I got them last spring. All my reptiles are handled and fed separately and we have a strict wash/sanitize program not only for the enclosures and feeding totes but also any one handling them.
