Is This Big Enough?????

I saw a vision cage for $400 on a website and I was wondering if it would be big enough for an adult burmese??? The model number is 632 stated this on the website. 72"W x 36"D x 18"H- The Cadillac of large cages! The extra depth allows room for even the largest pythons".

how long would a 5x2x2 cage last for a burm? starting from a baby 22 inches.

Probably will last a male his whole life, but it really depends on the animal, there are some FREAKS out there.

the length you MAY be able to get away with, but definatelly a bigger width, he wouldn't be able to move. With my snakes, i like to have the cage at least half as long as them, no more, so id keep a 10' burm in a 5' long enclosure, but it all depends on what you want.

i really think that is not long enough i would say a cage for a male burm should be 8 long by 4 wide and liek 2 tall that would be a nice cage for a burm. the rule i go buy is the legnth and depth added together should be about the same size of the snake

5 x 3 x 1.5 is not even close to big enough to house giant pythons. First, think of how thick the body of a 20ft snake is... is 1.5ft really enough climbing space??? Say the snake is 20ft long and 6 inches thick (arb.), that snake coiled on the floor of cage is going to pretty much fill it up.

That tank would be okay for an adult boa, or a young (6-8ft) burm. That's about it.

just wanted to know how long it would last, if i do decide on a burm i can always make a bigger cage. im battling with my conscience right now. if my 8 year old sister went into my room while i was gone and tried to handle it.............she would not stand a chance. i have my ball python cage way up high so my sisters cant touch it. i woke up after a nap and she has stacked up a bunch of things on a chair to reach it. so it certainly would pose a threat. imagine her attempting to hold the burm, or even an 8 foot boa. maybe a lock would work?

lock and key is the answer for you. Its a must.. I have two nephews ages 1 and 2, i keep everything locked when im not around..

You can find these for 3-5 dollars at any hardware store and possibly any department store..

The rule of thumb is 1 sq ft for each foot of snake. I'm sorry, but I think it is cruel to keep a big burm in a cage that is 72" long. That is only 6 ft. I am currently building an 8x3x2 for my female burm, and she may outgrow that. Please consider the snake's comfort and space requirements, as they spend most of their time in there. If you cannot provide the space, don't own a big snake!

What site did you find that cage probe 7899?? Just curious because I am currently looking for a large cage for my Green Anaconda. She is just 3' now but as everyone knows she will get extremely large. Ive been searching sites for good sized glass cages but all I really come up with is Full Aquarium setups which of course I dont need because there for fish. Also is $300 dollars good for a 180 Gallon Glass tank that is 72"x"24x"24? Thanks for the help.

Yea 300 is a good price for that size of a glass tank, I have seen a bit cheaper in the paper but that is a very good price, that price for that 400 dollar vision is a great price tho :)
