Flighty Albino Prairie King snake

I recently adopted an Albino Prairie King snake that belonged to a local Science teacher and he kept it in the classroom. The snake is a sweetheart but very flighty! I handle him daily. I'm hoping with time he will chill out. Any advice? btw he is about 25 inches long and feeding on small to medium mice. TIA!

With age, patience, and persistence he will become more calm when out.

He probably just gets a little stressed when he out. Make sure his enclosure has a lot of cover and places to hide.

Very nice snake. Glad he's getting settled in. It's funny, the more I see all these beautiful snakes, the more I want more snakes. They're more addictive than tattoos : )

If that half-log is his main hide, he may calm down quicker with a darker tighter fitting hide. The more secure a snake feels in its home, the quicker it will settle down.

I had the same thought and added a second small hide. He used it right away! Thanks! :cool:
