well all shagnum moss is organic it is wildcrafted from bogs and peat comes from deep in the bogs. living moss would be more my speed i think though.

i have a feeling it would retain alot of moisture. u should try doing some tests how logn it takes to dry out and things like that. and make sure you snake isnt acting to funny on it ;) hehe
