help with mounting perches

so i found a really good deal on some decorative bamboo that im gonna use in my carpets new enclosure im building. the only problem is that i can figure out how to mount them. they are about 3" shorter than the width of the enclosure and the ends of the bamboo are hollow so it make a hook and eyelet idea kind of hard. basically looking for any ways to mount them but not make it look obvious due to the fact that its a display enclosure. but as long as i can cover it with some fake plants and the perch wont swing or move a lot i am open to ideas thanks Logan

Re: help with mounting perches

I use closet rod hangers to attach perches to my arboreal cages. This way they are removable. However, if your perches are 3" shorter than the cage, it might be hard.

Re: help with mounting perches

So don't go straight across. Go from a side wall to the back wall. This would look more creative as well. Closet hanger things work fine. Funny I just git a deal on a bunch of bamboo too but my pieces are 6' long and about 1.5" thick. Maybe a good bamboo crop this year or something. !

An easy way of extending bamboo perches is to use a dowel in the end of them. You can get dowels of different widths and lengths at any of the big box stores. I buy them all the time to make perches out of them for the birds, a whole lot cheaper!
