UVB light kingsnake

Hi,

My brooks kingsnake, 2yrs, has a new enclosure since august
this year. It's a vision 332. I put a 40 Watt IR lamp on the hot side,
and also an arcadia shadedweller 7% UVB (8 Watt).

Direct under the UVB + IR is the warm hide:
T on top hide = 80 F
T inside hide = 75 F

my snake stays a lot inside the hide,
but never comes out to bask in the UVB.

As a test I put my UVB out 1 hour before the IR lamp,
and noticed afterwards my snake sometimes
comes out to bask in the IR.

Is my UVB light to strong or does my snake fears it???

Thanks,
Andrew

I think it doesn't care about it. You could try removing it and see if it's too strong and that's why but again, I don't think it'll care. I'd check your temps again to ensure it's not too cool.
