Wound on the snakes snout.

Hey everyone hope yall are safe during these times.I got Medusa the albino burmese python around a year ago (November 2019) as a hatchling when she/he ( unknown gender) was a week old. Medusa has been eating very well and is a pleasure to keep. I noticed that there is what looks like an injury on the tip of the head as seen in the pictures. Should i be worried about it?

Re: Wound on the snakes snout.

Burmese pythons are known for injuring their heads rubbing on things. That doesn't look like a bad one but the snakes can get mouth infections when they have head wounds. Is Medusa willing to let you open her mouth to check for infection or swelling?

If everything in the mouth is okay then I would apply Neosporin (the kind with no pain reliever) to the wound daily until it healed.
