Species ID?

A friend of mine has given me this baby and asked if I can get it to eat, since it is not eating in the store. She works at Petsmart and they are saying this is a Kingsnake. Looking for opinions on what species/morph this appears to be, please! Thank you!
Sorry for the poor quality pic, but the site wouldn't accept a photo from my phone, so I had to downsize it twice. :-/

Re: Species ID?

It's definitely a rat snake- appears to be an anerythristic corn snake. It's hard to know exactly why it isn't eating without knowing how exactly it is housed, and how food is offered. Quite often, it's a simple matter of keeping the snake warmer and/or tease feeding it.

Re: Species ID?

Agree on it being some variety of anery corn.

Also agree that more info is needed on the setup. One possibility is that the store was too busy for the snake so it never felt comfortable enough to eat.
