Re: Whats the Morph of my Spider Royal ?

Definitely were lied to. I hope you didnt pay any special price for a morph. That said, I have a beautiful normal and love his pattern.

Re: Whats the Morph of my Spider Royal ?

' Normal' morphs are the best imo anyway and that is one good looking snake. Are you sure you weren't sold out as a normal + het spider for eg?

All the terminology around morphs is terribly confusing...

Re: Whats the Morph of my Spider Royal ?

there's no such thing as a HET spider !!! spider gene is not recesive. he has a nice snake but with absolutely zero spider in it.
ex: of recesive genes would be albino or pied, where in order to get a visual both snakes need to have the genes, either visual + visual for 100% all visual babies or visual to het for a 50/50 chance, then the ones that aren't visuals are hets..
you can also go het to het but this complicates things for babies since you have no way of knowing which is which.

the only possible real mistake would be that the seller is a total newbie that matched up a spider and a normal , he may be clueless that he gets normals and spiders.
or
he got lied to for $$

as long as he's happy with his snake, that's what counts :-)

Re: Whats the Morph of my Spider Royal ?

@yeloowtang-i did wonder that. I'm not at all versed with morphs being a fan of beauty as nature intended when it comes to snakes.

Thanks for the correction...
