Cool My aquariums, etc.

At the request of some of the members here, I've takes some photos of my other hobby - Fishkeeping. Hope you enjoy!

My main 33 Gallon, recently overhauled and dirted.

10 Gallon Betta, White Cloud Mountain Minnow and Amano Shrimp tank

Just started this one - it's a Walstad Bowl. It will be self-sustaining once I get it off the ground. Has 10 Cherry Shrimp in it at the moment

Simple 1 gallon Betta "tank" with artificial plants.

Re: My aquariums, etc.

Very nice! If my house wasn't already a serpentarium, I'd probably have a few aquariums as well.

Re: My aquariums, etc.

Thanks guys. Fishkeeping has been a hobby of mine for more than a dozen years. This whole "dirted" thing is new to me, though. I lost a few fish at first due to that stuff. I feel like I'm learning all over again with that 33 gallon! It's a little understocked at the moment because of it. Once I get the hang of it I'll be filling it with fish once again.

Love the tanks I also love the dirted tanks. So easy to care for and does amazing things for the live plants! I just tore mine down a while back, I too have had aquariums for years and years. This is the first year I don't have one set up in probably over 35 yrs. I do miss them. And for you being new the the dirt tanks it looks as though it is coming along nicely Love them!

Re: My aquariums, etc.

Nice tanks, I too like the 33. I have a 55 and a 10. Will get round to doing some photos soon.

Personally I wouldn't keep a beta in anything smaller than a 5 but I know plenty of people feel a 1 is sufficient for a single fish. It's a nice looking tank though and you clearly know how to keep good, healthy tanks...

Re: My aquariums, etc.

Oh brings me back to my Aquarium days. I used to have 2-10's, 2-30's, 1-55,1-75, and a 125 gallon. Mostly only kept central American cichlids. Texas cichlids, breeding pair of jack dempseys, some jaguars, parachromis motaguensis (aka red tiger motas), and some Mayans. Absolutely plan on getting back into it when we get our house.

Update on my Walstad Bowl. Water has cleared, and everything looks healthy!

Re: My aquariums, etc.

Looks awesome, never took too much to fishkeeping myself but I can see what draws people in. I can't stand keeping pets I can't handle.

I really like the aquascaping. I've been tossing the idea around about jumping back into fish keeping and get a large aquarium. Precursor to a pond so tank would be 90g give or take.

Re: My aquariums, etc.

dear pareee, we have a local store where i live called wet pets. your aquariums are prettier than the ones they sell for lots of money. yours are so nice! that second one makes mac's home look second rate.
