New snake shed question

Hi all I have a new Cornsnake who is very sweet but I noticed some weird shed on her. I’m concerned it may be a health problem as it is at the tip of her tail and near her “nostrils”. I don’t know if I can treat it or if I should return her. Thanks I. Advance

Re: New snake shed question

You have a beautiful snake!
Stuck shed is very common and is usually due to incorrect husbandry. This does not mean you are a bad owner. Clearly you care about your corn snake and want to get help for it. I wouldn't take it to the vet unless you are very heavy handed and want a professional to do it instead. Even with tip top care, sometimes you have to give your snake a little help to get its shed off.

Be very careful, some people have pulled the tip of their corn snakes tail off trying to get the stuck shed off.

I am going to refer you to this video:

Hope this helps!
