Hognose are known to be picky so this is not abnormal one thing you can do is put him and an appropriate sized thawed mouse in a paper bag and put this in the tank. This intensifies the scent and he should eat it. You can even try spraying the prey item and this stimulates the snake. I hope this works.

Re: Please help my Hognose

Not normally recommended, but I ended up taking my Hognose out of the its enclosure, putting it on the carpet, and then feeding it the pinky mice...it's the only way he'll eat with regularity. I can leave it in the enclosure and nothing, he ignores it, but if I put it on the carpet...munch, munch, etc.

Are you trying to offer from tongs? Young hognose typically won't eat from tongs until they reach 50+ grams. My male is around 3 years old and still won't eat from tongs. I just leave the prey item in his enclosure and give him some privacy.

To help you more, we'll need to know what you've already tried. Males can be especially difficult when it comes to eating.

Re: Please help my Hognose

My hoggie is a pain and my most finicky eater...I've tried all the stuff mentioned and he's still picky about when he eats.

I assist fed some time back, when he was off food for several months, and then he got on a regular feed schedule...but now he's gone back to eating when he feels like it.

At one point I had to take him out and lay him on the carpet and lay the f/t fuzzy mouse in front of him before he would eat.

Re: Please help my Hognose

So there read something I read and tested years ago, and it seemed to work. Get KFC and puth the mouse in the bucket for about an hour or two, and then try feeding. I have absolutely no idea why this worked, but it worked for me years ago.
