Brown belly

My ball python who is about 4 years old is sick. My snake developed a skin irritation on the belly that is brown. His skin looks like it is splitting. If there is anyone that can help me with this. If there is anything I can do to save my snake. If anyone knows of a vet in Brampton I just moved here and I do not know of a reptile vet. Please

Re: Brown belly

It sounds like scale rot. Can you get pics? Tell us your setup. What's your substrate?

Re: Brown belly

Scale rot. Gut the entire enclosure & clean & sterilize it. Use papertowel as substrate until it is cleared up. Scale rot is a baterial infection caused by too wet or too dirty of conditions or both. A vet trip is in order for antibiotics. Minor case can be treated with polysporin but yours sounds serious, Mark
