I've been keeping snakes and lizards for awhile now, but have just started to venture into the live plants with them. I'm interested in adding some carnivorous plants to my 55 gal Crested/Bribon Tank. Are Venus Fly Traps and Octopus plants safe with these guys. I thought of them since the Crested food tends to attract the fruit flies and nats. But i dont want to add things that are unsafe for the kids. Any idea's?
Here are a couple links for plants I found . First one is for plants that are suitable for reptile enclosures and the second link is for plants that are dangerous to reptiles.
i use gold pothos for my chameleons and cresties. i have seen the chameleons eat it and my iguana likes to eat it too lol so i guess its save for everything. the cresties dont eat it but they lick water off it which is good.
