Thumbs up My High blue boy...Dial up..no!

Here is Sparks, my chondro out of a TW high blue male and a very nice high blue Aru female. He/she gets wilder each week!

Wow, that is really sweet- red, blue, green, yellow, and white all mixed up in that fellow. Gorgeous!

I hope it is a fellow. I have quite a few females for him but not that many males if he turns out to be a she.I'm looking forward to his final change to see what he looks like. Right now he's so gorgeous and every day is like a new surprise.

Re: My High blue boy...Dial up..no!

I can imagine- he is incredible. I just purchased a mottled yellow male chondro for my female today; he will come next Thursday. But yours is something else- I've never seen so much color in a GTP! You are very lucky!!

Luckier than you know! The guy I bought the two from kept back one and it just turned green. He's ready to kill me now The sibling is bright yellow still and it's baby markings are fading out. No other real color anywhere. A half sibling to him is still yellow at more than 2 years old with just a stripe of green down the spine. It would be very cool if he stayed high yellow. Then I would have a high yellow and a high blue/melanistic animal.......The dream continues!

His name is Stephen Roebuck. He's got another clutch going now I think it is. I also bought an adult Aru from him several years ago.

Re: My High blue boy...Dial up..no!

Wow that snake is incredible! I have never seen a GTP with such intense colouring. I'm really digging the black with the colourful mottling.
It's eyes are very cool too. GTPs are super high on my "gotta have it" list I'd really like to see your others.

Re: My High blue boy...Dial up..no!

I'll have to post the others. There's 9 of them so it takes a while! You can see them on my website under green tree pythons and then each individual type.

Ooooh, I know this is off-topic but I looked at your website MegF, and those snail-eating snakes are sooo adorable! I just love those stumpy faces! I think I am going to have to convince my fiance to let me get one if I ever see one. Sooo neat!!

Re: My High blue boy...Dial up..no!

They are cute. They are extremely rare though. I think myself and one other guy are the only ones in the US with them. He just had a gravid female (Cirrus) lay eggs when she arrived. Out of the 5, 2 hatched and are taking snails. The first ever born in the US! I've got mine paired up right now, but I think I may have missed the breeding window for the Suriname variety. Mine laid slugs when she arrived in August and Dan's laid eggs in July I think it was. So if she doesn't become gravid this year, I'll pair them up earlier next year. They only eat slugs and snails, although mine take f/t slugs very nicely. I got a can of snails...unfortunately they were chopped up and not whole like the guy said they were, but one of them ate them. Once I separate the two I'll be able to find out who did. If I can get them eating the whole canned snails, then they will be more viable for the pet trade. They are still so hard to find...especially ones that live.
