Thanks. I am going feed her once a week until she is 4 years.
I see. Well, it's certainly normal for a snake to fast, especially after treatment. I'm sure she is fine, Kazz.

Re: Carpet stop eating

Why are you considering force feeding if she ate a few weeks ago? Just give her 2 weeks and try her again. There's really no need to feed your carpet every 5-7 days after their first year. They don't need nearly that much food. I feed my carpets every 5-7 days the first year, every 10-14 days the second year, and every 2-3 weeks after that.

It's hard to know when she will begin eating again. Continue to offer once a week and don't consider force feeding or assist feeding until significant body weight is lost - I would assume at least 6 months of not eating, but probably longer than that. Try to be patient.

Edit : It may be a good idea to offer every 2 weeks instead of weekly as El Ziggy mentioned. Less food wasted if it doesn't eat.

Oh I didn't know that after 1 year once in 10-14 days is ok. Thanks. There is no such information in care sheets of carpet pythons.

Re: Carpet stop eating

Well. I think the reason why my snake refuses her food may be in what Viperkeeper says:

... I mean after her treatment (shoving a tube into her mouth 6 days) she need a time to trust me again.

Re: Carpet stop eating

Based on this video, I strongly suggest not removing your snakes hide when you try to feed her. Was she in her hide when you tried to feed her? She just looks like she's nervous and doesn't have anywhere to escape.

Make sure the prey item is very warm (around 38 degrees) and dangle it outside the entrance to her hide if she is in it. And if she doesn't seem interested, just leave it for a bit and she may take it when you are not watching. Some snakes are just very shy feeders. Just continue to offer once every 7-10 days. As long as her husbandry is good, she will eventually eat.

Oh yes, Iím sorry. The feeding schedule youíve been advised on is perfect. I meant donít try to offer too soon if she refuses. Sorry for the confusion Feeding during the day is fine, just let her keep her hide. I have a very shy feeder and I realized I was scaring her by removing her hide to feed. When I stopped doing that, she began eating much more consistently. Itís just a security thing.

Her body condition looks good, so donít be worried if she skips a few meals. They all eat eventually!

!
Perhaps your snake's hide has a big entrance and close to floor?
BC if hide has upper entrance it's no real feed a snake don't removing it's hide.

Actually my snake ate yesterday but it was one unhatched quail, but I am glade she started anyway.

Re: Carpet stop eating

So.
She ate almost 5 days ago and didn't appear from her hide.
Today ) looked under her hide and found a white feces (as far as I know it's solid urine ).
Why she stay at her hide ?
