Cool Ever seen a Banded Galliwasp? Seriously cool.

Saw this online and thought you guys would appreciate it. I had never heard of them before today. Seriously cool looking lizard! I think it looks like a Cali King with legs

Picture not mine.

I believe they change colors as they mature, but I'm not certain.

They change colors. I like the juvenile colors, but honestly I'm glad they change to their adult coloration. It looks more natural.

Never seen one of those before, very cool. Those fingers kind of freak me out though, lol

Can't say I've ever seen one before. They do indeed look like legged king snakes before they hit adulthood. The colours after they mature are just gorgeous!

The body physique reminds of Tiliqua.

Re: Ever seen a Banded Galliwasp? Seriously cool.

Thats very interesting that they change so much as adults.... There are no kingsnakes in their native area, right? What about banded sea snakes? I'm wondering if they are mimicking something, or just using warning coloration?
