"Grey squirrel $300"

Damn, why am I breeding snakes? There are more squirrels than you can shake a stick at in my neighbourhood. Hmmn, just snag a few...

If anyone's interested I'll sell grey squirrels at the bargain basement price of $150 US and Black Squirrels at $75 (all are slightly aggressive)

LOL, I have so many squirrels on my property that I've thought about trapping them, euthanizing them with CO2, and then selling them out as reptile food. A few weeks ago, my younger cousin who's staying with me grabbed one of my sterilites, a stick, a long piece of string, and some mixed nuts. Just with that, he caught about 10 different squirrels over the course of 2 days, and there were many more we saw around that he hadn't caught.

I think I'd be willing to sell them for $5 a piece (these European Grey Squirrels don't belong in North America anyway, so I have no gripe about removing them from the environment). No guarantees against rabies or parasites though!

I agree with what Aidan is saying.

I think endangered animals should be kept in captivity. I mean some of the herps we keep are near endangered in the wild. I'm sure some people have some herps that are already extinct in the wild and they only survive in captivity. The point I'm making is like in some people's signatures: preservation through captive propogation. I think it is going to be the way of the future on the most part. There will always be reserves and such, but there will also always be a growing human population, and if people want to keep animals in existence and this is one of the few means neccessary, so be it.

It is actually 'that easy' to purcase a tiger, if you have the cash, you can buy one. There is a guy in vancouver somewhere that has one in his garage. Nice huh? I have also seen cougars kept as pets, and many other insane things.

Many zoos purchase animals for cash there is nothing inherently wrong in offering these animals for sale. In order to purchase or own most of the animals on the list and in order to transport them across state lines I believe both parties involved would require a USFW permit. As long as they are being bought by and sold by responsible people with the time/money/commitment to look after them and it is done legally I don't really see the problem.
