Lists!

I decided to have a little fun and put up some more lists.

BEST GRUNGE BAND
1. Nirvana- could have been the greatest EVER, could have....
2. Pearl Jam- fading now but still good
3. Soundgarden- simply awsome!
4. Alice in Chains- great voice

BEST CLASSIC HEAVY METAL BAND
1. Black Sabbath- They wrote every good riff EVER!
2. Judas Priest- Halford is a god!
3. Iron Maiden- Classic as it gets
4. Motorhead- LOUD LOUD AND LOUD

BEST "NEW AGE" HEAVY METAL BAND
1. Metallica- Put metal on the map! Newer stuff not heavy enough
2. Megadeth- first metal band with major label
3. Slayer- still heavy & still goin'
4. Anthrax- funny and heavy!

BEST MODERN HEAVY METAL BAND
1. Slipknot- Hard to deny
2. System of a down- becoming bigger and better
3. Tool- Not really HEAVY but close enough 4 me

BEST MODERN CANADIAN BAND
1. Tragically Hip- will be around for years!
2. Tea Party- Jeff Martin is the greatest musician we've ever had!
3. Big Sugar- Just great tunes, constantly
4. Barenaked Ladies- Better now they are more serious

BEST CLASSIC CANADIAN BAND
1. The Guess Who- not a question but a statement.
2. Rush- 3 of the best musicians in Canada

Definitely The Guess Who. Y'all can keep Rush.

Anyone remember Thundermug? They released a new one a few years back ('95?) called 'Who's Running My World' and redid Africa. I like it.

A great Canadian songwriter.... Ron Sexsmith. Not too many have heard of him, but he's a "songwirter's songwriter."

silke there are more ppl around the world that listen to electronic music then any other type! rap for instance is breakbeats or drum and bass with an MC so it is electonic!!

It doesn't surprise me that there are a bunch of metal fans here. Metal and snakes seem to couple together nicely.

Hey, anyone listen to Faith No More? I was sooo into that band for like 7 years! Mike Patton. Now there's a singer!

hyghbrd - no disrespect intended ... just meant that, as cranwell mentioned, herps and rock/metal seem to go together and i didn't think there'd be a big electronic following on this forum

JJ - Yeah! I saw AC/DC here in concert 2 years ago and it was

yaaaaaaaarg!!!! true friggin metal!!

also...!!!!!!!
Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Slipknot sucks!! they just sing about depressing lives theyve made up for themselves!
its like John davis from Korn singing about his troubled childhood and brainwashing most of todays youth into thinking their childhoods suck!!!! think about it? Nothing i hate more than seeing some little fake kid dressed up like a vampire going home to his parents giant house where he watches Korn videos after school on his big 75" television, and listens to korn on his 50000$ sound system!! tough life!

System of a down is great.
alot of people forgot to mention rage against the machine!! (both anti Polotical, and anti government bands!!) great sounding music, and everyone knows the government is a great issue to get mad at and bang your head too! damn taxes.

Does anyone here listen to Ministry????
if you like metal download the following:
1. So What
2. Burning Inside
3.Thieves
4. The fall
5. Lay Lady Lay
amazing ministry songs!! blows any slipknot crap away!!
