American Werewolf in London still tops my list - great for its time - a classic.

Hey, Reddragon, you're really into the SCARY ones. Gee, 13 ghosts, Pet sematary (spelled this way) and Exorcist were freaky.
But Rob Zombie has got to be the man with me most twisted mind on the planet."She's got a corpse under her bed...She's had her fun but now he's dead!" Is this stuff great or what?
*LOL* That's me all the way, if it doesn't scare the bejesus out of me, it's not really worth it. If it doesn't scare me, then it has to be really gory or have a decent story line (I know, that's rare for horror movies, but a few of the ones I listed have some great story lines to them.)

i dont really have any expectations for what 1000 corpses is supposed to be like, other than really scary.I gotta be in the mood for it too though.i read a bio of rob zombie along time ago that said he wanted to make a movie someday and he said he had alot of good ideas for a better horror movie than the usual

American werewolf in London was very good, but this last movie of it in Paris is not so great. too much cgi, makes the whole thing look like a cartoon. Well, the best about it was the song by Bush (Mouth).

Definitly 13 Ghosts, Pet Semetary 2, Jeepers Creepers, Ghost Ship. i think House of 1000 Corpses was kind of stupid. it was freaky though. what really freaks me out when im watching movies like that and thinking 'what if that was me'. i scare myself more than movies do lol.

I saw house of 1000 corpses with my sister in the theater....we were both so disturbed when we left!!! scared the **** out of both of us. She saw it again and said that away from the surround sound and HUGE screen it wasn't that scary....I doubt I'll be able to watch it again though

Iím just too much of a sissy to watch scary movies. If I go to the theater, Iíve got to hold onto someone and keep covering my eyes. If I watch at home I have to keep turning the sound down. Itís much less scary that way.

My vote goes for Silence of the Lambs. I saw it at home alone and had to watch it twice that night because the first time I had the sound turned off too much.

Also, the first Alien movie. The soundtrack at the theater was deafening and unremitting. Plus it was filmed so dark, it left a little to your imagination which is usually superior Ė whether itís a horror movie or a love story.

JIMMYDAVID:

Horror movies now are more just another form of comedy movies to me. Althought some physicological thillers do tag me pretty good at times but nothing was like what EXORCIST 1 did to me when I was 7 years old on a Halloween night watching that movie. Now years later its just dumb and funny. As you can see
I am not the scare me please idea, with bogus makeup and dumb creepy story lines.

LOL.

Cya...
