Is there ever going to be a herp show in Durham?

I was just wondering if there is ever going to be a herp show in the east end of toronto or durham ... All the shows are always in the west end or hamilton region... just wondering if there are any plans for such an event

thanks
Anders

You could always orginize one. it's a lot of work and dedication to do one and the laws in durham may prohibit certain snakes from being displayed.

good luck, all snakes like boas and pythons are illegal in durham, snakes like corns, kings and milks are allowed, we are going to try to change laws in durham (hopefully)

Most cities in Canada don't have a reptile show at all, so those of us who have shows that only take us an hour to get to should be grateful. Just ask the rest of the Canadians here who have no shows...However, I would really appreciate it if the next show was held in my backyard.

Like Retic said....All boids are prohibited in Durham along with varanids, Arachnids and most mamals. We (The Durham Snake Group and its affilliates) are trying to get the same bylaws passed as Steve Marks did in Toronto. Boids under 8ft.

SO there are people trying but we need a wider support base (Members in the DSG). Anyone willing to help can contact myself @ Durham_snakes@yahoo.ca or Charles @ chase1@sympatico.ca.

So all you Durham herpers get off your buts and join in the fun!

Regards......ED Holder

the only problem is Phil,is that pissin off the neighbours is how the stupid bylaws came to be,I would love to be able to sit in the back yard with my reptiles with out worry of the neighbour seeing me,but i would still not walk down the side walk with them, and fuel the publics fire against them.

Exactly Jay, C'mon Philly! Thats not the right tude to have. Pushin herps on to people that have phobias is exactly why these bylaws are what they are. Anyways...Hows the new burm doing..?

There is going to be a show next June in Newmarket. I found a link just surfing the net.

I think that it would be closer for you than Mississauga. It's a long time away though.
