I don't think that anyone has said that OBO is what they dislike. It's when people post "wanted" ads asking for people to sell their animals for dirt. There's nothing wrong with hunting down a deal, we all do it, but it's appauling what some people set an animals worth at. I have made many "cheap" purchases and have sold things for amazing prices, but I would never offend someone by asking for something for nothing.

and no one is whining imo, it's a reasonable topic of discussion, that has been brought up before (by me and others) and no one saw it as whining then either, just debate

The moral of the story is "its worth at a certain time what someone else is willing to pay for it, no more and no less:
so what you paid is somewhat irrelevant to what you paid since that transaction occurred in a different time and market.

When I look at my snakes, or Super Hypo Tangerine Geckos, I know what they are worth, and would never sell them for a penny less than what they are worth.

Reptiles only go too cheap, when a seller is too desperate for the cash and lets them go. But this is the market place.
