Bicept size guys... or girls...

Hey after 3 months of working out, i was curious on how big my bicepts are. So i took a string and measured around it and its 13". it was about 7" before...

hehe i know its kind of a stupid topic but hey, i was dieting for quite awhile, theres results now :)

blah i gained a few pounds, im 160

I have no idea. My philosophy is to not lift anything unless I'm paid well to do it so keep workin out, drinkin protein shakes and when you get the big arms keep them too. I'll keep the big d*ck and worry about lifting that! LOL!!!

You know what? If your arms went from 7" to 13" in just a few months of working out, you are a freak of nature. That would require at least 4 or 5 pounds of muscle to be added JUST to your arms. That's a physical impossibility. The chemically un-enhanced body, can only add between 8-12 pounds of lean muscle tissue a year. I would consider donating your body to medical science. I used to work out years ago. Until I realized that there was more to life than muscle shirts and grunting with other guys... I remember when I started my arms were about 11" and they are 18.5" now. That was from hitting the gym 5 days a week, for 1.5 hours per workout, for 12 years straight. Though, regretfully, I am covered with a layer of protective fat now.........

mine are around 12" flexed...i've been working our for a year now...and due to a serious motorcycle accident I met with 2 years ago I was able to get a personal trainer paid for by my insurance for about 8 months of that time.....when I look at pics of myself at the beginning of the training I was a stick figure.
I'm not an ego maniac but damn it feels good to flex them muscles right after a brutal work out.....the swell up about an 1" bigger than they really are! So does my head!lol!

it isnt wierd that you gain weight. Muscles way more then fat and since you are makin your muscles bigger, thus heavier, you gain weight :D

mykee 09-25-03 10:04 AM

In fact, muscle weighs 6 times more than fat.

Siretsap 09-25-03 10:17 AM

lol I really don't know if you are trying to prove something, but bicep size doesn't mean much. Mine are at the moment at about 19 inches. I use to have some 28 ones, but haven't been training for at least 2 years.

But the size doesn't matter, strongness is more impressive, like let's say how much can you bench or how much pressure have you got in your grip. I got a good 160 pounds pressure in my right hand. And 172 pounds pressure in my left one.

im just raving on how much i gained thats all. just glad since i was dieting too, which sucks cuz i work in a restaraunt with free food!! cheese cakes, n chinese food... but i just drank shakes... pssh

mykee 09-25-03 10:32 AM

Used to have 28 inch arms, eh? Well, you should contact Guinness, cuz right now, the biggest arms in the world are owned by Denis Sester at 30.75". 28"? I'm doubting that VERY much. To put 28" into perspective, a basketball is 30-ish inches around.

Solid Snake 09-25-03 10:48 AM

is that from top to bottum? or from all around?

MouseKilla 09-25-03 10:52 AM

With such big muscles you can have a promising career in roofing or furniture moving! Can someone explain what the need for swollen muscles is? When I see a guy who looks like he spends his life in a gym I wonder what he's trying to compensate for. I mean, how down on yourself do you have to be to want to walk around looking like someone jammed an air hose up your *ss?

Siretsap 09-25-03 11:01 AM

from all around, not sure how it would be from top to bottom.
if you meant from top to bottom, no way I was 28 inch, was from all around

"I used to work out years ago. Until I realized that there was more to life than muscle shirts and grunting with other guys..."

there's more to life than working out for THAT reason! I'll agree with that...but since I started working out my cardio has improved, my energy has improved, I'm less stressed, I sleep better, I work harder(cause I have more strength and energy).
Its all around a positive thing to do for oneself and thats a super reason!:)

"When I see a guy who looks like he spends his life in a gym I wonder what he's trying to compensate for."

Maybe some do it cause they were twigs and picked on as kids...but I think it has a snow ball affect...the better you feel and look the more you want to improve....there's nothing wrong with having a good self-image. It takes a lot of discipline to stick to a program...you can't dog someone for that.

"I mean, how down on yourself do you have to be to want to walk around looking like someone jammed an air hose up your *ss?"

I agree with that....it does go straight into some peoples heads and they just want to look big, mean and tough....what makes me laugh is the guys that walk with their arms out and chest all puffed up like a proud peacock but the muscles aren't there to support the stance!LOL

Ha ha, mine are only 16! I'm a goddamn pipe-cleaner!! LOL.

But the real question is, what's your time in the 40? 4.5 my friends. Read it an weep. That's all the football scouts care about. Curls are for girls.
