Thanks Linds

Doenoe, the Australia trip will cost you the flight there and back which will be around $2500. Should take about $500 with you for food and the times you might have to stay in town. So I'm guessing around $3000. If you can save more then even better. Most of the time we will be staying in the bush so you will need camping gear like a tent, mosquito net and sleeping back. I will be staying in Australia for 2 weeks and it will take a couple of days to get there and a couple of days to get back. Some people who are coming with me are planning on staying there a few months and travelling around afterwards.

If you don't have croc handling experience then thats ok coz you will learn real fast when u there lol

I'm not rich or anything like that. My full time job as a graphic designer and freelance design work helps me out a bit

Hi Baz,
Just a few questions, what shots are needed to go to Australia? Also, is the trip with a guide? I would really be interrested in going. Would save the money for it to. 2 weeks, that sounds pretty decent. Do we need anything in particular to go? Experience in some sort or classes of any kind?
Thanks
Michael

Michael I have not looked into what kinda shots we would need for Australia. There is no "guide" really. The purpose of the trip is to work with researchers there on McKinlay River catching freshwater crocodiles to determine the effect the cane toad is having on their population. Dr Adam Britton is the person who will be in charge there and basically we will be working under his supervision.

No experience is necessary for this trip... just be willing to work hard and long and don't expect too much sleep at night. I have talked to some people who did this before and they really enjoyed the experience.

Lol that is perfect,
I never sleep more than 5 hours a night anyways. And working hard isn't a prob.
I know someone who went to Africa this year to help the people with the hospitals. She had an awesome time there, even if she did see a lot of sad things there.
