Angry HOW do I KILL Crickets? (or trap em')

Alright .. I have hundreds of crickets in my room .. problem .. I own no insectivores..

MY lovely roomate with a guazillion chams goes through thousands of crix a week and many many many many escape and all end up downstairs in my reptile cages..

I have a loose very Fat Tokay .. but that is removing 0.0007392003% of my cricket population in my basement . I am pretty sure they are breeding in my monitor cage as well ...

So how do I get rid of em" .. either trap or kill .. don't matter to me .. there just becaming a big nuissance to me and the animals..

Thanks

The one, the only,

Dom

Get a chihuahua. I used to have loose house geckos in my room but later switched to chihuahuas...they are very effective!! She doesn't miss a single one.

What's wrong with cats, Trace? Sure, they almost killed my snake and devoured my best breeder mouse but other than that, what can go wrong? Teehee...just teasing you Trace No I agree, cat's wouldn't be a good solution. Jordan has a loose white's treefrog in his reptile room who supposedly eats every loose cricket however I'm not sure exactly how he keeps the humidity level up.. You could try asking him.

try those sticky rodent paper things man. you can get em at wal mart etc. you just place them along the wall or whatever.. It seems all my escape's always hang out along the wall and they get stuck I have one in my speaker right now that i cant get at and its chirping something fierce..

Ok no cats. We don't really have a problem as most of our herps are in room which is out of bounds (closed at all times) to the cats. And they know it! One step inside and it's a dunk in the tub.

Hey Dom

Just give up and go with it man.

I surrendered, now i just play new age "nature music", and pretend I am in a forrest, the snapper aquarium filter acts at the babbling brook.

The only problem with bleach is that if the crix consume any, and get out and into a reptile cage then the reptile is in primo danger of eating the crix and becoming extremely ill. I would use pest strips with honey on them. Crix love honey!

well the best thing to do is spray the cage with proven't-a-mite as it does kill all bugs
