Country:
not to be mean... but do we honestly need more iguanas being breed just to end up as a rescue down the road?

It varies from iguana to iguana, whenever the hormones cycle up.

Hey! Maybe Garterguy is doing a project for school or some other reason and can't find this information anywhere. I'm not under the impression he's breeding iguanas.

FWIW garterguy, all of my female iguanas get ummmm antsy for a boyfriend in the late fall (November) and tend to lay their eggs in late winter. (March/April) This is at least before I got all of mine spayed! Most of the iguana's I've ever worked with tended to follow this pattern, but I certainly wouldn't say this is the rule.

Hope this helps.

I have 3 female friends with male iguanas who are all in breeding season right now and attacking their keepers whenever they get the chance. One has been in his breeding season for almost 5 months now!

I guess I'm lucky
my Griffin usually gets a bit aggressive mid-late Dec for about 3 months
I don't know his age since he was adopted but I guess him to be about 3 yrs old
