Breeders in maine or close by

Ive been looking none stop for over 2weeks and I can't find any one that breeds corn snakes. I found on place and wrote 2 emails no return. I dont want to buy from a dealer(petco) but it looks like there is no choice. I could order one but Id rather just pick it up then put it through the stresses of shipment not only that but the cost of shipment.Am I better to just suck it up and order online or petco.

Re: Breeders in maine or close by

Stress wise when packaged well and the animal is healthy I havent noticed much difference with corns when shipped vs the stresses of petstore living (they had to be shipped sometimes a couple times before they ended up at the store) being brought home. Cost-wise when you include shipping your usualy not paying much more then you would at a petstore either.

The benefit of buying online is you can get exactly what your looking for, while near you the selection is going to be much smaller. Also more often then not the animals you get from breeders are going to be of better quality then what you find at stores, at the very least the snakes havent had the amount of stress the petstore animals have had and breeders will know the history of the animal and will usually be able to help you a lot more then a petstore employee.
