Re: help please

It looks to me to be a common boa constrictor- also known as Colombian Red-tailed boa. They don't have true red on the tail though, at least not all of them. It's more of a brick-brown color. They come in many color morphs, so without better resolution on the photos and a photo of its tail, I can't be sure, but that would be my guess as they are cheap and quite common. They are very docile, and make excellent pets! Best of luck with him!

Re: help please

They are great snakes! I'm sure you will love him- they do get quite large though, so be prepared for an 8-10 foot snake in a few years.

Re: help please

I agree it looks like a common boa. I have a female she is around 7-8 ft now
I also have a male who I around 4-5 ft he is not a common boa as he has more of a salmon colour on him, the male is about a year old and my female is about 2-3 years old
I also have got a dumerils boa he/she is very nice but only a baby
Got two royal pythons also but i'm going to sell those as I want to consentrate more on my boa's.
I'll post some pics soon. Good luck with your boa
