Those are nice specimens, I like petrified wood, and we seem to be able to find different kinds of it here, just small pieces tho. There are arrowheads to be found if you look, but we are not allowed to collect them or sell them, so why waste time looking?
Lately we have been bone collectors, finding skulls along the sand bars. Some of them wash up every year in the spring melt. Most of them are damaged, but nice flower bed decorations anyways. We also collect antlers, as there are plenty of white-tail and mule deer here.
I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, stranger, I am ungrateful to these teachers.
