They can..infact they have been threatened several times. The truth is, law is funny. Even with a disclaimer you can still be sued. If not for slander, possibly for something else. There is a reason why some people are lawyers and some are not! Any big corporation who really wants to take you on for slander will. They have the financial backing and the power to do so. Dont kid yourself, Fauna classifieds can be sued. Whether or not the owner would be found responsible or not is another story. But the attempt can be made. As to, a member can be held responsible for insiting the slander in the first place. The site is only usually named in the suit as a means to bring the slander to a broader audience! Trust me, ive seen enough of them to know what can be named in one!
