I used to have pet of them had a stroke and used to run in circles and eventually after a few days I had to put it down.

As for the original question...I tried keeping breeder/pet mice for a year and they were too bitey for me. And stinky! Then when some would escape (due to my negligence) it was always a big pain to recapture them.

The females were always so nasty...I'd never keep mice again as pets!
