I agree, Ball pythons are not for beginners. Their husbandry requirements are nott too bad, but not as easy as some colubrids. What it wants, when it wants, and not a day before. too stressful IMO for new snake owners. It leads to more stress for the snake, as new owners tend to try to offer food every few days, thus causing the snake to associate food with stress, and exacerbating the feeding problem. Children's pythons, spotteds, but not BP's.
