Re: UTH question

Ultratherm is lying I guess.

Surprisingly with a probe the substrate is 90 degrees. How can I set up something to raise ambient temps inside an enclosure sealed with a wood top? If I put the lamp inside the snake runs the risk of burning itself or even pulling it down and starting a fire. If I put it in/on the lid it could also cause a fire. I really don’t seem to need a very large wattage bulb. A tiny one cranked the heat up immensely in my enclosure. I just wouldn’t trust it inside with an animal.
