Description: Savannah Monitor about 1 year old. Not sure if it is male or female, goes by "Carlos"
Comes with:
-75 Gallon Tank (equipped with logs and other accessories he enjoys)
-Water Bowl
-Humidifier
-Thermometer
-Humidity Gauge
-2 Ceramic Heat Lamps and Fixtures
-1 Day light and Fixture
-Fixture for Night Light (blew out, haven't replaced it yet)
-1 Bottle of Terrarium Cleaner
-1 Bottle of Tropical Mist (vitamin spray to help him with his shed)
-1 Bottle of Mite Off
-Book on how to care for Savannah Monitors.

He is a good pet, we just do not have the time to give him the attention he needs and deserves. He eats about 12 feeder mice a week and should be able to move to small rats soon. Pictures of him and set up below.

What have you been feeding him and how does he handle??

We feed him mice, he eats about 12 a week. Also, for protein we give him crickets once in a while. As long as he isn't hungry, he handles well. Also, as long as he is handled everyday, he is fine. It's when he goes untouched for a while he has to readjust to being touched again.

I'm sorry to tell you but you've been feeding him the wrong foods. Savannah monitors are strictly insectivores, mice and rats are not good for him.
